From 9 – 13 September 2025, our WorldSkills UK team members will be competing with up to 600 talented young skills athletes from all over Europe.
WorldSkills UK, in partnership with Pearson, has announced that over 100 young people will join its 18-month intensive training programme, with the aim of being selected for the team that will represent the UK at WorldSkills Shanghai, which takes place from 22 – 27 September 2026.
Competing in WorldSkills provides us with rich insights into the skills systems and practices to develop excellence in young people, in 88 different countries and regions. The valuable lessons we draw from benchmarking our performance is invaluable and through the Centre of Excellence, we will transfer these lessons in pursuit of mainstreaming excellence across technical and vocational education.
