Leading the latest research and global trends in skills development and benchmarking the UK with other countries to champion demand for world-class skills economy
A new initiative and part of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence programme, building evidence and sharing learning with senior leaders from across the education sector on embedding excellence across teaching, learning and assessment.
The focus is on championing demand for the world-class skills economy, facilitating the sharing of international insights, raising standards and supporting economic growth through research, blogs and thought pieces; conferences, roundtables and networking events.
Join us in central Manchester on 17 November to hear from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on how they are collaborating with employers and education providers in the region to deliver world-class skills and network with other education leaders and employers.

Excellence in technical and vocational education and training should be available to everyone, wherever they work or study, whatever type of institution they attend, and whatever their level of learning or ability. We commissioned research with funding from NCFE to help us identify the ingredients for success necessary to embed excellence and to help leaders create change within their institutions.
Watch the findings presented by the research team, followed by an expert panel and Q&A.
Our research into the advanced manufacturing sector found that collaboration between employers and training providers is weaker than it could be, with fewer than half of manufacturers working with skills providers to ensure their needs can be met. Empowering educators to equip young people with the technical and employability skills required by industry and exchanging expertise between employers and skills providers to keep in touch with emerging skills demand is essential to power up the UK manufacturing sector to a competitive future.
