Network for Innovation Event

We welcome senior leads, teaching and learning teams, curriculum leaders and educators from all curriculum areas to join us for a morning of innovation in Technical and Vocational Education.

During this event, the Centre of Excellence’s Network for Innovation will explore how the network can support members of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence and signpost opportunities on offer. In addition, we will be welcoming partners from WorldSkills Netherlands and WorldSkills India to contribute to our first themed discussion, exploring methods that support providers to promote and engage in vocational learning.

Join us at Trafford College to hear from Dr Becca Clare SHMI, head of Ofsted’s further education and skills curriculum unit, on ambitious curriculum design and high-quality teaching in further education, including apprenticeships.

Fanuc Open House Event 2023 - technical masterclass in robotic systems integration

Also, on Thursday 16th November, we will offer a technical masterclass in robotic systems integration, delivered as part of the Annual Open House event at Fanuc UK in Coventry.

UK training manager Karla Kosch will be joined by international experts from Taiwan and Hungary, providing insight into international standards of excellence and how these can be applied to the classroom and workshop environment before inviting educators to participate in a hands-on practical technical skills development session.

Global Community for Thought Leadership Roundtable

On Friday 17th November, senior leaders from Centre of Excellence member organisations are invited to join a roundtable event held in the People’s History Museum, Manchester.

We are bringing together sector leaders to network and share insights on delivering world-class skills and embedding excellence across the skills sector to help drive investment, jobs and economic growth.

The roundtable will use Greater Manchester as a case study demonstrating collaboration between government, education and employers to deliver the skills needed for economic growth and to create employment opportunities within the region.
