Sheet Metalworkers transform sheets of metal into lightweight structures for everyday use by using a range of high tech equipment and traditional skills. If you’re interested in becoming a sheet metal worker, your work will include interacting with planners, supervisors, inspectors, designers, welders and fitters. They can work alone as well as in a team.

The individual will need to have excellent accuracy in their own work whilst ensuring it conforms to a relevant specification. They are responsible for health and safety for themselves as well as their own team.
