This year, the Sheet Metalwork Technology competition will not run under the WorldSkills UK competition framework and will be delivered as an industry competition.
Sheet Metalworkers design and produce products using hand assembly and the latest technology to produce versatile products, from Computer Chassis, to Aerospace, construction, retail and catering products.
Competitors will be tested on a wide range of skills to reflect the role of a modern sheet metalworker. Sheetmetal Workers may have a variety of roles within the industry including designing and developing the next generation of sheet metalwork products, manufacturing, prototyping, inspection or quality assurance of production or in-service products.
