Following success in the WorldSkills UK National Competitions and months of training as part of Squad UK, the team selected to represent the UK at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 has now been announced.
Team UK, selected, mentored, and trained by WorldSkills UK in partnership with the world’s leading learning company Pearson, will compete across a range of skills at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
Often described as the “Skills Olympics”, WorldSkills is the world’s largest international skills competition, held every two years in cities around the globe.
WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 takes place from 22-27 September and will feature around 1500 young people taking part from over 80 countries. These include areas such as digital construction, cyber security, renewable energy, cooking, hairdressing, and engineering.
The UK has been participating in WorldSkills competitions since 1953.
