Skills Champions are inspirational WorldSkills UK past competitors who become ambassadors for skills excellence, championing technical routes and WorldSkills UK competitions. They are crucial in supporting WorldSkills UK to raise standards, champion future skills and empower young people from all backgrounds.

WorldSkills UK will support you to champion the way for other young people, covering your travel and accommodation costs, offering tailored training to the role, one to one career support and importantly, opportunities to get involved such as the national finals, content creation and speaking opportunities at events.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have taken part in a stage of WorldSkills UK competitions (national or international)  
  • Must be passionate and committed to championing WorldSkills UK programmes and willing to get involved  
  • Must complete the sign-up process using the online form with related agreements and an introduction call with WorldSkills UK.

However much commitment you can manage. We share opportunities and if it works for you great, if not, there’ll be others. We cover your travel, accommodation and subsistence,  providing as much support as possible to help you to volunteer with ease.  

Once you complete the sign up form, a member of the WorldSkills UK Operations and Careers team will be in touch for a short introduction call and to go through your form.
