Supporting young people on BTEC and A-level results day

On BTEC and A-level results day, our Deputy Chief Executive Ben Blackledge congratulates the young people collecting their results and explains how we're supporting those young people to make informed choices about their next steps and helping their employers to lead a skills-led economic recovery.

“Congratulations to everyone picking up their BTEC and A-Level results today, especially those who are in training with us for EuroSkills Graz and WorldSkills Shanghai 2021.

“We know that crucial to rebuilding the UK economy will be highly skilled, motivated young people. That is why we have increased our online careers advice and skills development resources to help those collecting their results today, and thousands of other young people throughout the UK, make informed choices about their next steps.

“Those we support today with advice, knowledge and skills will be the workforce of tomorrow helping employers lead the charge towards a skills-led economic recovery. That is why working with our partners in industry, education and governments we will continue to invest in these young people and champion the development of world class skills."
