Speaking to FE Week, the media partner for Team UK at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, Skills and Apprenticeships Minister Robert Halfon said: 

“It is an absolute delight to have a great WorldSkills Team UK heading out to Abu Dhabi to represent the UK in WorldSkills 2017. I am also thrilled that we have all of the nations of the UK represented in the Team and I have no doubt they will do tremendously well and I wish them every possible good luck. This is a wonderful day for skills in our country.”

The members of Team UK have beaten off the challenge from thousands of fellow and former apprentices and students to represent the UK at the WorldSkills Finals  which take place from 14 to 19 October in in Abu Dhabi.
