Local Heroes are supporters of WorldSkills UK and are responsible for driving their organisation’s involvement in our competitions, helping us to equip young people with the lifelong, world-class skills.
WorldSkills UK is asking colleges, independent training providers and businesses to nominate employees who are responsible for engaging their organisations in WorldSkills UK Competitions.
Each year, thousands of young people are registered to take part in our Competitions. However this is only made possible through the consistent hard work, dedication and commitment of a small number of individuals who tirelessly promote the benefits of competitions to their students, apprentices and senior management.
We want to recognise and celebrate those individuals, who we are calling ‘WorldSkills UK Local Heroes’ at this year’s The Skills Show at the NEC, Birmingham.
Nominations for WorldSkills UK Local Heroes 2017 is now closed. Thank you to those who have submitted a nomination. We will be announcing the WorldSkills UK Local Heroes on our website shortly.
