Joseph Massey, an apprentice with Airbus, has been able to complete some last minute training ahead of WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 thanks to a generous offer from CHC Helicopter.

Representing the UK in Aircraft Maintenance, Joseph was able to attend a training session with CHC Helicopter to work on an Augusta / Westland AW139 helicopter.

Headquartered in British Columbia, Canada, CNC Helicopter operates more than 250 aircraft in 30 countries around the world.

In addition to training on the helicopter, Mike Fawcett, Chief Engineer at CNC Helicopter also spent the day with Joseph and Martin Yates, WorldSkills UK Expert for Aircraft Maintenance who has been working with Joseph for the last two years, sharing his knowledge and helping Joseph prepare for the competition.

At WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, Joseph will compete against the world’s best apprentices in aircraft maintenance from countries including Ireland, Korea and Saudi Arabia.
