About the workshops

Our Achieving Excellence face to face workshops for educators drive excellence in teaching and training, through continuous professional development (CPD). They are hosted by WorldSkills UK in partnership with NCFE.

Our workshops will take place at the various locations that are hosting the National Finals and will engage educators in practical workshops and discussions to explore subjects including, international best practice, world class practices and the value of benchmarking to raise standards in learners.

Why should educators attend?

Educators will have access to our High-Performance Skills Coaches who are all experienced WorldSkills UK Training Managers who have the track record of training the medal-winning teams of apprentices and students who represent the UK at WorldSkills, known as the ‘skills Olympics’.

benchmarking to raise standards in learners

Through their work with the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence programme, our High-Performance Skills Coaches have captured learnings from international best practice and have developed a 90 min CPD workshop to coach and mentor educators who can then use these practices in the classroom with their learners, ensuring they perform to higher standards of excellence in their skills.

These CPD workshops are open to institutions who are not already part of the Centre of Excellence programme to provide an introduction into the methodologies and practices we use at WorldSkills UK to train young people to excellence.

Workshops will be taking place in the following locations:

  • Blackpool & the Fylde College
  • Edinburgh College
  • Middlesbrough College
  • Barking & Dagenham College
  • Cardiff & Vale College
  • Belfast Met College
