Diversity and Inclusion Heroes Awards 2019
We believe all young people, from all backgrounds, deserve the same chance to succeed through technical skills and vocational education.
Our Diversity and Inclusion Heroes Awards celebrate individuals and organisations going above and beyond to support young people from a range of backgrounds, championing difference and inclusivity in the Further Education (FE) sector.
Hosted in partnership with Coca-Cola European Partners, the awards are open to everybody involved in FE – from colleges, training providers, universities, to employers, networks and individuals.
Winners will be announced as part of WorldSkills UK LIVE – the UK’s biggest apprenticeship and careers event – on Friday 22 November, from 3pm to 5pm at the NEC Birmingham.
There are six categories, designed to honour organisations and individuals who champion diversity and inclusion in FE:
- Programme / Initiative of the Year
- Media / Social Media Campaign of the Year
- Network of the Year
- Role Model Award
- Sponsor / Executive Champion of the Year
- Rising Star, sponsored by Coca-Cola European Partners
Applications are free and the deadline for applications is 4 October at 5pm. See below for assessment guidelines and FAQ.
About Coca-Cola European Partners
Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) are excited to form a partnership with WorldSkills UK as they launch their awards. We feel it is important for companies to work closely with relevant organisations to ensure both inclusion and diversity are being considered across any apprenticeship initiative.
Diversity is something we celebrate in all its forms at CCEP and as such we open our doors to individuals from all walks of lives regardless of background. As a company we are committed to increasing BAME representation, for us goals like this are vital. We strive for a workforce that is ethnically diverse, multi-generational and one which truly represents the communities we operate in.
