Championing the Way Schools Programme
The Championing the Way for Skills project is a WorldSkills UK initiative that offers fun and engaging interactive workshop sessions for secondary school students focusing on technical and transferable skills.
We are looking for enthusiastic and talented Skills Champions to grow the Championing the Way for Skills delivery team! If you would like to be involved with this project, please register your interest below.
Being part of the programme you will have the chance to:
- Showcase your skills and inspire the next generation about technical skills
- Meet professionals and employer representatives from your sector
- Develop your own transferable skills of time management, communication, planning. public speaking and group management
- Gain great experience for your CV, especially if you would like to become a trainer or teacher
We will support you to develop and deliver interactive workshops to student groups of up to 40 students at schools and colleges. Travel and accommodation will be provided for you to take part and an allowance is available for those not supported by their employers (e.g. self employed, apprentices or students).
