Since competing in 2016, Vanessa has volunteered as a WorldSkills UK Skills Champion to encourage more young people into technical education, started her own Beauty Academy and re-joined the 2019 competitions cycle to hone her skills even further.

Callum is joining Team UK at WorldSkills Kazan 2019, competing in Painting and Decorating. Alongside his competition training, he works as an apprentice for Clackmannanshire Council, Scotland.

Betsy Crosby - Skills Champion and former Mechanical Engineering CAD competitor
Betsy competed in Mechanical Engineering at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, where she was awarded a Medallion of Excellence for her outstanding skills. Since competing, Betsy has continued to play a huge role in WorldSkills UK’s work, working as a Skills Champion to encourage more young people into technical education.

After winning a silver medal at the WorldSkills UK National Finals, Haydn is jetting off to international success with Team UK, heading to WorldSkills Kazan 2019 to represent his country in Aircraft Maintenance.

Danny Hoang competed in WorldSkills UK Cooking Competitions locally, nationally and internationally, eventually landing a prestigious job at Momofuku New York.

Kim Reid - Skills Champion and former IT competitor
Kim won Gold in IT Software at the National Finals of the 2013 WorldSkills UK Competitions. Since competing, she has continued to work with WorldSkills UK as a Skills Champion, encouraging the next generation to consider a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
