Those working in the Restaurant Service industry are well rounded individuals who have a good knowledge of basic restaurant service skills, wine service and knowledge, bar skills and good presentation skills. Those looking to become a restaurant manager should be able plan menus, organise shift and rotas, manage budgets and stock.

The individual should have excellent stakeholder management skills with food and drink suppliers. Adhere to rules and regulations in line with licensing, food hygiene and health and safety of the team. They would need to be able to manage staff, training and recruiting.
