A Laboratory Technician is a person who performs the practical hands-on work in a laboratory. Those looking to become a Lab Technician will need to work in diverse settings which include healthcare, industry, research, and educational institutions. They should be setting up experiments and investigations by also carrying out risk assessments. 

They would need knowledge in chemistry, biology and safe disposal of chemicals. They should have excellent skills in working with their hands, paying attention to detail and working with others and using initiative – our Lab Technician competition is the perfect environment to test these skills.
