World-class teacher training and interactive networks provide members of the programme with access to innovative, evidence-based learning and assessment methodologies. These are underpinned by WorldSkills UK’s 70 years of experience in developing students and apprentices to world class standards and NCFE’s expertise in curriculum and assessment design.
Together, WorldSkills UK and NCFE are bringing this programme to even more institutions and educators to increase the social and economic impact of world-class teaching. Collaborating with partners in education, industry and government, the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence is working to establish the UK as a leader in delivering world-class education and training to drive jobs, investment and economic growth.
World-class teacher training offers practitioners an evidence-based approach to teaching, training and assessment that covers pedagogy and practice, performance psychology and mindset skills development, all endorsed by NCFE. Technical masterclasses in high-growth sectors are also available as well as training sessions in AI and future skills.
Network for innovation offers senior leaders the opportunity to connect with their peers across the UK, representatives from industry and WorldSkills UK’s international partners to collaborate and share best practice to drive innovation and excellence.

The Endorsed Trainer Programme is open to educators, teaching & learning and quality staff as well as advanced practitioners who have either remission or the capacity within their current role to drive and embed the WorldSkills UK pedagogical methodologies from within. This in turn, will raise standards of assessment and the competition culture in the organisation through the ability to tailor CPD to their specific requirements creating an even greater impact and influence change.
We visited Firebrand to find out how they have utilised the Centre of Excellence Programme. Firebrand is an Independent Training Provider with training centres around the world specialising in Cyber Security and Digital Skills.
This video features highlights from the WorldSkills UK Technical Leadership Learning Visit at Hull College. This CPD event provided valuable insights for technical leaders across the UK’s Four Nations.
The one-day visit allowed participants to exchange ideas, share resources, and discuss ways to drive innovation and raise standards. Hull College, as a Centre of Excellence member, showcased how WorldSkills UK methodologies help raise standards and develop skills excellence. Their message: Context is a challenge, not an excuse!
We offer teachers, trainers and support staff an evidence-informed approach to teaching, training and assessment underpinned by our models of excellence.
WorldSkills UK in partnership with NCFE, invite you to apply to undertake a group collaborative innovation project, involving a minimum of three further and higher technical education providers, to address one of the priority themes shared.
