Last year’s winner was Gareth Fallows at Acorn Training Ltd. Gareth became homeless as a teenager, found support with homeless charity ARCH before undertaking their resettlement programme and support from Buttle Trust. His experience led him to found Acorn Training Ltd, who play a vital role in supporting LGBTQ+ young people and adults to build safe and secure futures, enabling them to succeed in life and work.
We support the awards as it is fantastic opportunity to recognise those who rise to the challenges and enlighten others. Over 50 years ago, Festo Didactic was formed to address technical education. The objective was to put people and their education first and address reskilling, upskilling and overcome skills shortage. As an industrial company committed to technical education; diversity and inclusion is at the very heart of our operation.
