About the competition - Confectionery
The competition focuses on the range of skills that the confectioner must demonstrate within
their work role. These skills will be demonstrated through the production of a selection of dishes
including pastries, chocolates, tarts, pies, and cakes. Competitors may also be required to make
decorative pieces from chocolate, sugar and marzipan.

Who can enter?
This competition is intended for trainee confectioners who are working towards qualifications at
level 3 or higher.
How many can enter?
Up to two competitors per organisation.
Competition structure
Stage one: enter online between 7 January – 9 April 2009.
Stage two: competitors will be invited to compete in the UK final.
