About the competition - Performing Arts: Musical Theatre
The Performing Arts: Musical Theatre competition will provide you with an invaluable opportunity
to showcase your skills and share your work with others to promote excellence at this level.
Competitors are required to perform a published musical theatre song. They can be from any
historical period as well as contemporary pieces. They may be accompanied by a live musician or
licensed backing track.

Who can enter?
This competition is intended for those undertaking a relevant programme of study at level 3 (BTEC ND, S/NVQ, AS/A2 Performing Arts and/or Theatre Studies programmes).
How many can enter?
Up to three competitors per organisation.

- Potential
Competition structure
Stage one: enter online between 7 January – 9 April 2009.
Stage two: competitors compete in a regional heat.
Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard
will be invited to compete at the UK final.
