About the competition - Floristry - Closed
The floristry competition provides an opportunity to demonstrate your creative and technical
skills in various tasks based upon a theme. Competitors are required to work with a previously
unseen selection of flowers, foliage and sundries.
Competitors will be required to create a variety of floral designs, including wired pieces,
bouquets, body adornments and room decorations.

Entry Type: Individual competitors
Competition Type: Live
Competition structure
Stage one: enter online by 19 March 2010.
Stage two: competitors will be invited to participate in a live heat.
Stage three: highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard
will be invited to compete at the UK final.

One competitor per level per organisation.

Who can enter?
The competition is intended for those training or working as florists. Competitors can be in
education and training or working in industry.
Intermediate: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 2 (for England, Northern Ireland
and Wales), up to level 5 (for Scotland) or up to three years experience in a working environment.
Advanced: Those undertaking qualifications up to level 3 (for England, Northern Ireland and
Wales), up to level 6 (for Scotland) or up to five years experience in a working environment.
Further opportunities
There is a City & Guilds qualification available for this competition.
There is the possibility of progressing to a
EuroSkills competition.
There is the possibility of progressing to an
International WorldSkills competition.
