About the competition - Floristry

 

The two floristry competitions provide an opportunity to demonstrate your creative and technical skills in various tasks based upon a theme. Competitors are required to work with a previously unseen selection of flowers, foliage and sundries.

Competitors will be required to create a variety of floral designs, including wired pieces, bouquets, body adornments and room decorations.

Entry Levels: Intermediate, Advanced

Entry Deadline: 09 April 2009

Entry Type: Individual competitors

Competition Type: Live

Who can enter?

This competition is intended for those undertaking a relevant programme of study at level 2 (intermediate) or level 3 (advanced) in floristry:

Intermediate: competitors with less than two years’ floristry experience in either training and/or employment or the equivalent to a level 2 qualification.

Advanced: competitors with two–seven years’ floristry experience in either training and/or employment or the equivalent to a level 3 qualification.

How many can enter?

One competitor per organisation per level.

  • Colour
  • Composition
  • Technique

Competition structure

Stage one: enter online between 7 January – 9 April 2009.

Stage two: competitors compete in a heat.

Stage three:
highest scoring competitors across all heats that meet the required standard will be invited to compete at the UK final.
