Who can enter?
This competition is open to anyone with an active interest in the visual arts. As a guide to its
scope and standard: the competition has been based on the standards for art and design programmes
at level 3 which prepare competitors for immediate or deferred entry to careers in visual art.
Assessment criteria
The competition will be judged at two stages:
Stage one: competitors will submit their work for assessment
Stage two: the highest scoring competitors will be invited to exhibit at the
Cultural and Creative Arts Exhibition in June 2008.
What happens if I win?
UK Gold winners will be invited to a high profile national awards event.
